Eric Gill is an Independent Funeral Celebrant living in Semington, near Trowbridge, conducting Non - Religious funeral services throughout the Wiltshire Area. You may have come across his services by chance or you may have been given his details from a Funeral Director.
He is aware, however, that his first contact with you comes at a time that is probably difficult and painful. He trusts that together you will be able to create a beautiful and fitting funeral service for your loved one whom you may have recently lost.
Eric has a corporate background and during 31 years service, mainly in Customer Service, found his true vocation in caring for people. With this in mind in 1994 he trained and qualified as a Professional Toastmaster www.toast-masteruk.co.uk with the National Association of Toastmasters.
His dedication to the banqueting business has seen him become one of the UK’s top wedding toastmasters. He is immensely skilled at looking after people, and because of this attribute, it led him naturally to the role of of a Civil Celebrant.
Eric graduated at the UK College of Celebrancy and was immediately accepted as a member of The Association of Independent Celebrants.
Eric is married to Sandy and this year they celebrated 46 happy years together. They have two children Michael and Jane and 5 Grandchildren, 4 Girls and a boy. Both he and Sandy had lived in Maidenhead in Berkshire all their lives but wanted to be closer to their grandchildren who live in Calne, so they moved to Wiltshire in 2005. Immediately they fell in love with the wonderful countryside and the friendly, welcoming community.
Eric has a complete understanding about his role as a celebrant, the process of the funeral service and in helping people at a very difficult time, especially being able to personalise and design a beautiful and fitting end of life ceremony for their loved one.
He is ready to help and provide you with all the support, advice, guidance and understanding during such a sad time in your lives.
